Our MS boys basketball that was to be played last night at Newcastle will now be played on Tuesday, Feb. 28th at HOME starting at 4:00 with the 7th grade game. Please note that we will play in Lead-Deadwood for that game/date. Thank you.

Good evening - just a quick word that we are monitoring the weather and road conditions for tomorrow morning (Feb. 15th). With our chorus/band scheduled to attend the Region Contest event in Rapid City, we want to make sure we are being safe but are going to make our best effort to get those kids and advisors to their event. A decision will be made in the morning if we cannot safely get there. Thank you for understanding.

All juniors will attend the career fair in Sturgis tomorrow, Wednesday, February 15 in the morning. The bus will leave at 8:45 and students and will be back before lunch. All students must check in to their 1st period beforehand. This career fair provides the opportunity to learn about a range of career fields and educational programs, as well as military options for after high school.
Couple of C team basketball events have been added to the schedule - GBB C team will play at Douglas this weekend (details have not been given to us yet) and BBB C team will play at Custer on Saturday, Feb. 25th (details have not been given to us yet). Thank you.

Just a reminder that our HS boys and girls basketball game vs. Custer on Thursday, Feb. 16th will be PLAYED AT HERMOSA - not at Custer. Games start at 3:00 with the girls C team followed by JV games at 4:30 (both at same time), Girls Varsity at 6:00, Boys Varsity at 7:30. Please let anyone attending the game the correct location. Just an FYI - for our HSBB game at Douglas this Saturday, Feb. 11th - they are asking whoever attends (our fans included) to wear white in support of one of their parents who is in the process of getting a liver transplant (he has a son that plays). Joe Divis is the dad in need - you may remember him from his playing days at BHSU in the 90's as well. Douglas asked us to join them in their support by wearing white to the game. 2023 Lead-Deadwood All Schools Science Fair is Thursday March 9th! Get your sign up forms in the office.
Reminder: All 9-11 grade students will be taking the winter MAP Assessments tomorrow, Wednesday, January 18th and Thursday, January 19th from 8:30am-10:00am.
All 12th grade students will report to the HS Resource Center tomorrow for a mandatory career exploration presentation from 8:30-10:00. 12th grade students do not have to report until 10:00 on Thursday.
Couple quick scheduling updates for activities this week at the high school:
1. HSWR at Sturgis on Friday, Jan. 20 (this is boys only) starts at 4:30
2. HSWR (girls only) at Pierre on Friday, Jan. 20 starts at 4:00 (one day only)
3. HSGB/BB at Hot Springs on Saturday, Jan. 21 starts at 1:30 now - boys JV is first, girls JV, boys Varsity then girls varsity to finish the day.
