Friday, February 27th is the last day to turn in permission forms for the Delta Dental Mobile Unit if you would like your child to participate.
The Delta Dental Mobile Unit will be at the Lead-Deadwood Elementary March 9th–13th.

Kindergarten screening will be Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Lead-Deadwood Elementary School.
Parents need to come into the Elementary School March 2-18 and register their children for Kindergarten before a screening appointment can be made. Information needed at registration includes a certified birth certificate and immunization records for your child. These two pieces of information must be on file at school before entrance will be allowed.
Those students whose immunization records are not complete are eligible for registration, but immunizations must be completed and records in the school office before the first day of school for your child to begin.
Please allow one hour for the screening.

Lead-Deadwood High School is seeking nominations for this years ‘ Hall of Fame Class, which will recognize and honor the school district’s men and women who excelled during or after their time in Lead and Deadwood.
The Hall of Fame will honor outstanding individuals and or groups in the areas of athletic participation, coaching, teaching, fine arts, academics and other outstanding contributions.
The deadline for the 2026 nominations is Friday, May 15, 2026.
Nomination forms for eligible candidates are available at the high school activities office, online at the Lead-Deadwood School District website or may be requested by calling 717-2814 or 605-340-2221.
Completed forms must be returned to Lead-Deadwood Hall of Fame, Attn: Zack Clement, 320 S. Main St., Lead, SD 57754.
Nominees for participation must have been out of high school for five years in order to be eligible. Coaches, teachers, and other community members who are currently working in the district are eligible for nomination.
The 2026 class of the Lead-Deadwood Hall of Fame will be inducted in a ceremony at the high school tentatively set for the fall 2026.

💛 Kindness Week is coming up at Lead-Deadwood Middle School next week! 💛
Students will participate in simple kindness activities and fun dress-up days to celebrate “throwing kindness around like confetti” next week Feb 9-12! 🎉
