It's Red Ribbon Week at Lead-Deadwood Middle School next week Oct 28-Nov 1. This year's theme is Life is a Movie - Film Drug Free. HEARING & VISION SCREENING The Lead-Deadwood School District will be conducting its annual hearing and vision screenings next week for students in kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 11th grades. You will only be notified if your child's results fall outside the normal range. If you do not want your child to participate in the screening, please contact your child’s school prior to the scheduled date. Otherwise, your child will be included as planned. Lead-Deadwood High School school will be conducting QPR training this week starting for all 10th grade students. This is an evidence-based training for youth and adults, that teaches skills in how to Question, Persuade, & Refer in a potential mental health challenge/crisis. The 6th grade students went to Outlaw Ranch last week. Students participated in horseback riding, archery, canoeing, and a challenge course. Thanks to the chaperones, PTO, and Walter Green Trust for making it possible!
