Mrs. Amanda Bender is passing the Lead-Deadwood Shining Light on to Mrs. Kim Ostwald this week! “I am passing this on to a person who has an amazing work ethic and while most of their work seems like it’s behind the scenes you absolutely know when they aren’t there. The quality of work they do is unmatched – They’re the kind of person who you feel like can’t be replaced – like another person isn’t going to come in and do as good a job as they do. Besides being awesome at their job, they show kindness to staff by asking about how they’re doing. They are kind to the students and also hold them accountable in kind and respectful ways. I’m so grateful for this person because their small encouragements and kind words keep me going. And even though they have threatened to steal the lantern if it gets passed to them, I’m taking the risk because Kim deserves the recognition!” Congratulations, Kim!

Our high school basketball game vs. Wall that was scheduled for this Saturday, Jan. 13th has been postponed due to the weather conditions. Our game with Wall has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Feb. 13th and will start at 4:00 - games to still be played at Lead-Deadwood schools. Our basketball games with Red Cloud will be at home as well and will start at 12:00 on Feb. 3rd. Please check the school calendar for further details on both of those games. Thank you. Mr. Nepodal
